Giant-Size Fantastic Four #1, by Fabian Nicieza and Creees Lee, promises to reveal a hidden secret of the history of Atlantis. The issue introduces Natlus, an ancient ruler reawakened who seeks to retake the throne of the underwater kingdom. The comic, with cover by Bryan Hitch, will be on sale February 28, 2024.
The Giant-Size line of one-shots is coming out in 2024 to mark the 50th anniversary of the format that began in the 1970s (see "Marvel Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Giant-Size Comics"). The issues are promised to bring "pivotal status quo shifts, exciting first appearances, and dramatic developments."
Giant-Size Fantastic Four will also include a reprint of Fantastic Four #33 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, an issue from 1964 in which the FF team with Namor to fight a foe causing trouble in Atlantis.
The first release in this line, Giant-Size Spider-Man #1, is due out January 10, 2024, at 48 pages for $6.99.
