Ravensburger announced Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls (Disney Edition), a new adventure game entirely designed and illustrated by women, which will release into retail on July 21, 2024.
Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls (Disney Edition) combines elements of roleplaying with a traditional board game. In this game, players will try to form alliances between Disney and Pixar heroines to push back the Disney Villains and restore the Realm of Light. Players will delve into a brand-new world with familiar characters, items, and creatures as they explore the game's missions and modular board. The game features popular characters such as Moana (Moana), Violet (The Incredibles), Maid Marian (Robin Hood) and Belle (Beauty and the Beast).
“As we’ve seen time and time again with games like Disney Villainous and Disney Lorcana TCG, bringing Disney heroes and villains into one shared universe reignites powerful nostalgia and provides a platform to bring friends and families together in an immersive and highly creative experience,” said Lysa Penrose, Head of New Games Marketing at Ravensburger NA. “We know how imaginations ignite when you bring Disney storytelling to life in board games, and we can't wait for you to see what happens when Disney Princess characters and other Disney heroines join forces and take center stage."
Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls (Disney Edition) is for up to four players, ages 8 and up. It will retail for $29.99.
Ravensburger also announced their 2024 releases for the Disney Villainous line of board games (see "'Disney Villainous' Games Incoming").
