Maverick will publish a graphic novel sequel to the Netflix series Fate: The Winx Saga. The live-action teen drama series, based on the middle-grade Winx Club animated series and graphic novels, ran for two seasons in 2021-2022. The series was somewhat darker than the original comics and ended with the lead character, Bloom, traveling to the Realm of Darkness to find her biological mother. The graphic novel, by writer Olivia Cuartero-Briggs and artist Christianne Gillenardo-Goudreau, picks up with Bloom still missing and her friends at the Alfea magical school still adjusting to her absence when the school is attacked by fairy powers. The 102-page paperback will be released on July 2, 2024, with an MSRP of $14.99.
Papercutz, which like Maverick is part of Mad Cave Studios, released the first volume of the lighter-hearted Winx Club series on January 16 (see “Mad Cave to Publish ‘Winx Club’ Graphic Novels”).
