Image Comics has hired Jim Viscardi, co-founder and Executive Editor at ComicBook.com, as Vice President of Business Development, the company announced. In his new role, Viscardi will be charged with growing Image’s audience and building business relationships. Viscardi will report to Image Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Eric Stephenson, working in tandem with the Image Sales and Marketing teams.
Prior to his nine years at ComicBook.com, which included the sale of the company to CBS Interactive (now Paramount Global) in 2018, Viscardi spent time in sales and marketing roles at Ingram and Marvel.
“He has a wealth of experience at his disposal, but more than that, a unique perspective that should serve him well in this new role,” Stephenson said of Viscardi in a statement accompanying the announcement.
