Pegasus North America will release Lumicora, a new reef-building game from Deep Print Games, in May. In Lumicora, players gather coral tiles and build new reefs in three dimensions. Tile placement is affected by sea creatures living the reef and limestone foundations. At the end of each of ten rounds, pints are scored for a single type of coral. Tiles are two-sided, increasing replay-ability.
Lumicora, designed by Rita Modi with art by Annika Heller, is for 2-4 players 10 and up, and plays in 40-60 minutes. Release is planned for May 2024 at $44.99 MSRP.
Lumicora is another ecologically-focused game in a growing trend; Asmodee is releasing Catan – New Energies this year (see “New Standalone ‘Catan’”).
