Ravensburger announced Shimmering Skies, the next Disney Lorcana booster set, which will hit FLGS, Disney Stores, and Disney Parks on August 9, 2024 and mass retail and the Disney Store Online on August 29, 2024.
Shimmering Skies will be the fifth set for the Disney Lorcana TCG. The story for this set continues from the point where the inhabitants of the realm have defeated Ursula, and are celebrating their victory with a festival. However, as the celebration goes on, a new mystery begins as parts of the Great Illuminary come crashing down upon the crowd.
The set adds new characters and franchises to the game, including Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope Von Schweetz, King Candy, Fix-It Felix, and Junior. It also features Elemental spirits from Frozen 2 such as Bruni and Gale. Alongside the booster displays, the product line SKUs include two new starter decks (MSRP $16.99): and Amethyst and Ruby (Elsa and Wreck-It Ralph) and Emerald and Steel (Scar and Kronk). There will also be a new Illumineer's Trove (MSRP $49.99), two new portfolios, playmats, deck boxes, and sleeves. The sleeves and deck boxes will have Tiana and Aladdin arwork on them.
Ravenburger will also be including a Prince John foil promo card in new copies of Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil. ICv2 recently interviewed Stephane Madi, CEO of Ravensburger (see "North America CEO Stephane Madi, April 2024").
