Good Games Publishing unveiled Curses & Covens, a new social deducation card game, which will release in fall 2024.
In this game, players either assume the roles of townsfolk, who are trying to hide friendly witches or a witch hunter. It is an all against one social deduction game where the witch hunter player tries to pick five witch cards out of the opposing players hands to win. In the meantime, the players who are playing the townsfolk must play towns to try pass around the witch cards and shelter them from the witch hunter. This game was designed by Samara Jethwa and David Walsh, who are a couple that developed their game with the University of Queensland social deduction game club in Australia.
Curses & Covens is for four to six players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 20 minutes. It will retail for $20.
Good Games Publishing also released Star Tycoon, a new engine building board game (see " 'Star Tycoon'").
