Rio Grande Games will release Outpost, a new Power Grid board game, that will hit stores in October 2024.
The next Power Grid game (see "'Power Grid' Again"), designed by Friedemann Friese, takes player to a new planet where colonization is underway. There is a huge demand for electricity there, of which players' companies will attempt to provide supply for. They will need to buy the best power plants, biggest shelters, and best technologies to try to spread their networks from city to city. In the meantime, they will need to mind their workers and make to keep their labor costs under control.
This game comes with a game board, 6 company boards, 230 wooden parts, 52 cards, over 180 cardboard tokens, and a rule booklet. It is for two to six players, plays in 45-90 minutes, and will retail for $74.95.
