Minnie Mouse will take her turn as a costumed superhero in Marvel & Disney: What If…? Minnie Became Captain Marvel, which reboots the four-issue 1977 miniseries Ms. Marvel, by Gerry Conway, John Buscema, Chris Claremont, and other Marvel luminaries.  The setting has shifted to Duckburg, where intrepid reporter Minnie Mouse is doing an exposé on Captain Marvel.  When Peg Leg Pete/Scorpion attacks the newspaper building, and John D. Rockerduck and the Beagle Boys attempt a heist at Scrooge McDuck's money bin, Captain Marvel arrives to save the day, and Minnie learns an important secret about her past.

The creative team for the one-shot is a trio of Disney hands, writers Steve Behling and Luca Barbieri and artist Giada Perissinotto.  The issue will go on sale on November 20, 2024, with a main cover by Perissinotto and variant covers by Elena Casagrande, Peach Momoko, and Phil Noto.

Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge are also appearing in the Marvel/Disney What If…? one-shots (see "Donald Duck Gains the Power of Thor").
