Mad Cave Studios will launch Petectives, a new kids graphic novel series by Jason Platt, under its Papercutz imprint in 2025.  The first volume, Petectives Vol. 1: The Grilled Cheese Caper, is a mystery story that begins when someone steals the sandwiches from the annual Grilled Cheese Festival, and Petectives Purrlock and Marlowe are called in to solve it.  Other characters include Jinny Giraffe, Coach Allan Alligator, and Meowiearty.

Platt is the writer and illustrator of the four-volume Middle School Misadventures graphic novel series from Little, Brown Ink.

Petectives Vol. 1: The Grilled Cheese Caper, for ages 6-10 will be released March 4, 2025 at $14.99 in hardcover and $9.99 in paperback.
