Marvel Comics announced a new ongoing Star Wars comic series at the Lucasfilm Publishing panel at New York Comic Con. Star Wars: Jedi Knights, by writer Marc Guggenheim and artist Madibek Musabekov, will be set in the era before The Phantom Menace and will feature the Jedi Order as it appeared in the Prequel Trilogy. In addition to familiar characters such as Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Count Dooku, and Mace Windu, the series will introduce new Jedi characters. Each issue will pair up two Jedi on a mission somewhere in the galaxy, with a larger threat tying the stories together.
The first issue will go on sale in March 2025 with a main cover by Rahzzah and a lightsaber foil variant cover by Taurin Clarke.
Marvel wrapped up its two ongoing Star Wars series in September 2024 (see “Marvel to Close Out Two ‘Star Wars’ Series with 50-Page Finales”).
