The ComicsPRO Annual Meeting will be held in Glendale, California, on February 20-22, 2025. Registration for the meeting will start by November 1, 2024, Executive Director Marco Davanzo said in an email.
ComicsPRO initiatives this year included the COMET Metadata Standard (see “ComicsPRO: Metadata Update”), retailer surveys (see “Retailers Grade Diamond, Lunar, and PRHPS” and “ComicsPRO Releases Retailer Survey Results”), and a virtual Open House with sessions on a variety of topics (see “ComicsPRO: Book Channel Trends Offer Insights for Comics Retailers”). They kept Local Comic Shop Day low-key this year in anticipation of a relaunch of the event in 2025 (see “Two-Year Plan for Local Comic Shop Day”).
The annual meeting, which brings together retailers for educational sessions, networking, and publisher presentations, has been in Pittsburgh for the past two years (see “ComicsPRO Annual Meeting”).
