An ICv2 Release. Gaming accessories are the hidden growth category that can add up to big sales, and ICv2 is publishing a full week of articles, columns, and other content focused on this key part of the hobby retail industry and the growing number of cool products for gamers.
The numbers are substantial! A couple of years ago, we reported on the growing sales of gaming accessories and their importance to the industry in an article in Internal Correspondence. Based on numbers shared by a distributor, we reported that for every $100 spent on miniatures, $80 was spent on paint and other accessories; for every $100 spent on RPGs, $25 was spent on dice and other accessories; and for every $100 spent on TCGs, $6 was spent on collector supplies and other accessories. All of those core categories have grown substantially since then, and so have sales of the gaming accessories tied to them.
It's ICv2 Accessories Week, supported by our sponsors heo, Gamegenic, Lazarus Rising Games, Whatnot, and Sirius Dice.
Watch for our special features and columns this week, and keep up with the complete list of Accessories Week articles here!
