Top Shelf Productions has announced a new graphic novel, Love Languages, by James Albon, whose previous book, The Delicacy, is in development with Warner Brothers (see “IDW’s Five Series in Development”).
Love Languages, Albon’s fourth graphic novel, is set in Paris and follows the story of two foreigners, one from London and one from Hong Kong, who connect at first over their struggles with French and eventually create their own private language blending English, French, and Cantonese. As their relationship grows, however, even their own language may not be sufficient to express all their feelings. The 176-page paperback with French flaps will be published on May 6, 2025, with an MSRP of $19.99.
Top Shelf published Albon’s debut graphic novel, Her Bark & Her Bite, in 2017 (see “Enter a World of Passion, Prestige, and Panic”).
