The Game Manufacturer’s Association has opened nominations for the 2025 Power Retail Awards, which recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements by brick-and-mortar tabletop game retailers worldwide. Nominations can be made by the retailers themselves, and by customers, publishers, business partners, and suppliers via this form until January 12, 2025.

Categories for the 2025 Awards are different from those we’ve seen in the past, and include:

Retailer of the Year, for stores that excel in advocacy, media engagement, record-breaking achievements, and overall impact on the industry.

Innovation in Games Retail, honoring creative advancements that enhance the in-store experience and redefine traditional retail practices.

Outstanding Contribution to the Games Industry, which celebrates business, owners, staff, and customers who use their passion and experetise to elevate the industry and educate the public about tabletop gaming.

Outstanding Store Design, which acknowledges physical store spaces that inspire and represent the hobby at its finest through aspirational and innovative design. 

Winners will receive cash prizes ($1000 for Retailer of the Year, and $500 for each of the other three prizes), a year of free GAMA membership, recognition during the Origins Award Ceremony, promotion on GAMA digital platforms, and promotion across GAMA digital platforms.

Nominees must have been in business for at least one year, and are not eligible in categories they’ve previously won.
