Investigative journalist Al Letson, host of the radio show Reveal, will take a fresh look at the origin story of Mr. Terrific in DC Comics' newest All In series. Mr. Terrific: Year One, by Letson and artist Valentine De Landro, with additional art by Edwin Galmon, revisits the backstory of genius, inventor, and Olympic champion Michael Holt and the events that led him to become a superhero. The six-issue limited series will launch on May 28, 2025, with a main cover by De Landro and variants by Mitch Gerads, Evan "Doc" Shaner, and Denys Cowan (featuring inks and colors by Ho Che Anderson).
"Valentine and I are diving deep and telling the origin story of who Mr. Terrific is as a man, and as a super hero," Letson said in a statement accompanying the announcement.
Mr. Terrific will join Superman’s Good Guy Gang in the early-reader graphic novel of the same name, which will be the first title in DC’s slate of original graphic novels for ages 5-7 (see "DC Launches Early-Readers Graphic Novel Line").
DC recently announced the first All In crossover event (see "Mark Waid to Helm ‘We Are Yesterday’").
