Ghost Machine, the creator-owned company, announced two series at the ComicsPRO annual meeting: First Ghost, by Brad Meltzer, Geoff Johns, and Gene Ha, and Hyde Street: Sisterhood, by Maytal Zchut and Leila Leiz. Ghost Machine titles are published by Image; Hyde Street: Sisterhood will launch in July while First Ghost is set to be released sometime in 2025.

First Ghost is set in Ghost Machine’s Unnamed Universe and is the first comic so far to be set in the present day. The story follows a newly elected president of the U.S. who learns what terror really is when he moves into the White House with his young son. Meltzer, who has been away from comics for years, previously worked with Ha on the standalone Justice League of America #11. First Ghost was mentioned when Ghost Machine first launched in 2023 (see “New Creator-Owned and Operated Media Company”), so it has been in the works for a while.

Sisterhood reunites Zchut and Leiz, who worked together on It Happened on Hyde Street: Devour, another title set in Ghost Machine’s Hyde Street horror universe (see “Preview: ‘Hyde Street’ #1 and ‘It Happened on Hyde Street: Devour’ #1”). The five-issue series will feature Sister Hood, a new character who will be introduced in Hyde Street #5 in April 2025, in a story about two friends, one of whom is killed during a sorority hazing. Leiz is the latest creator to sign on as exclusive with Ghost Machine.
