In Raising Chicago, designed by Matt Wolfe, players are thrust into solving Chicago's city-wide drainage issues circa the mid-1800's created by Lake Michigan. To address the problem, they are tasked with taking charge of business that is looking to secure contracts for raising the city’s buildings. Players must complete each building project every turn, and strategically place their buildings to fulfill the city council's wishes. The player that completes the most projects will become the most renowned builder in the city.
This game is for two to four players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 75-120 minutes. It will retail for $64.95.
Capstone Games will also release Butterfly Garden, a new edition of the abstract strategy game by Reiner Knizia (see "'Butterfly Garden'").
