G4/Tech TV will air episodes of Geneon's Gad Guard anime series on its Anime Unleashed block starting Monday November 8.  Two episodes will air each night starting at midnight (ET).  Gad Guard is the third hot new Geneon title to air this fall on Anime Unleashed, which has already carried episodes of Read or Die the TV and Gungrave (see 'Gungrave on Anime Unleashed' and 'Read or Die the TV on G4').  Additional episodes of all three series will air on Anime Unleashed in 2005.

Gad Guard is yet another ingenious variation on the 'giant robot' theme, which has proven to be so popular in anime.  Set on a resource-depleted earth two hundred years in the future, Gad Guard's central figure is a poor teenager, who comes into contact with a mysterious object known as a 'Gad,' which suddenly transforms into a giant robot under his control, but he is not the only one who has this transforming effect on the mysterious 'Gads.'
