Image Comics will release Spectators, a new graphic novel by Brian K. Vaughan (Saga) and Niko Henrichon, who Vaughan worked with on Pride of Baghdad, this fall.  The new work, originally serialized in Vaughan’s Substack newsletter (see “Substack and the Comics Creative Lifecycle”) and now available in print for the first time, will be released as a 336-page hardcover, likely at $29.99.

The story is set in New York, hundreds of years in the future, when it’s haunted by ghosts from multiple eras, including a voyeuristic woman from our present and a gun-toting man from the distant past who meet as the living world may be ending. The unconventional supernatural romance is joined by a critical examination of sex and violence and how we watch both.

The new volume will be released on September 10 in comic stores and on September 23 in the book channel.
