Boardlandia Online, an online board game retailer, announced that it is closing due to the recently imposed tariffs.

The company announced the closure on their website, citing that their business had faced a "series of significant and increased challenges" over the last few years. The final blow that caused them to close up shop was the recent round of tariffs (see "Erratic U.S. Tariff Policy") that "added an unsustainable burden to these existing pressures" and left the company no way of continuing forward. Boardlandia Online is owned by Tim and Karissa Fendt, who took over the online business and its brick-and-mortar store in 2017. The physical Boardlandia location, in Appleton, WI, is a separate entity from the online business and will remain open.

Boardlandia Online also noted that they are committed to shipping out unfulfilled orders and hold orders for which they have the necessary stock ASAP. The physical location is a completely different entity, so they will not assist with any inquiries regarding the online business.
