Cryptozoic Entertainment will release DC Deck-Building Game: Arkham Asylum, a new standalone game, plus a related expansion.  The game features cover art by Philip Tan, with game art from Batman comics.

Players take the roles of Arkham Asylum inmates including The Joker, Harley Quinn, The Riddler, and Two-Face.  The game features the return of Victory Point tokens, which can be used to Bribe cards, and adds Freeze and Riddle tokens, and new Weakness cards.

Box contents include 198 Standard Cards, 9 Oversized Charcter Cards, 1 Two-Face Coin Token, 1 Bribe Token, 4 Freeze Tokens, 8 Riddle Tokens, 28 VP Tokens, 2 Multiverse Dividers, Rulebook, and for the first printing, Catwoman and Burglary Promo Cards.

The game is for 2-4 players ages 17 and up and plays in around 60 minutes.

DC Deck-Building Game: Arkham Asylum Shadows Expansion adds dozens of new cards and allows play as the Bat-Family or League of Assassins.  It features Unique Starter cards for each character, new Super Hero and Super Villain Nemesis cards, and a new team game mode that gives VP tokens additional uses.

Box contents include 49 Standard Cards, 10 Oversized Cards, Rulebook, and Multiverse Divider.  The expansion requires any of the base games to play but is optimized for the Arkham Asylum version.

Listed prices are $54.99 for the base game and $24.99 for the expansion, with the warning that "due to the tariff situation, U.S. prices may shift."  Release date is August.

Earlier this year, Cryptozoic released a party/starter edition of the DC Deck-Building Game (see "Party/Starter Edition of ‘DC Deck-Building Game").
