Penguin Random House will reissue Vols. 1 and 2 of the Flight anthology, edited by Kazu Kibuishi, under its Inklore imprint. The first two volumes were originally published by Image Comics in 2004 and 2005, respectively, and include work by Becky Cloonan, Ben Hatke, Jen Wang, Vera Brosgol, Erica Moen, Sonny Liew, Jeff Smith, and a host of other creators, many of them just starting out (see “‘Flight’ Creators Get GN Deals”). Penguin Random House then took over the series and republished the first two volumes plus six more (see “‘Flight Volume 4’ Out in July”) under its Villard imprint. In addition, Abrams published three volumes of the young-readers Flight Explorer. The anthologies were nominated for several Eisner and Harvey awards.
