Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum are the first ever Local Comic Shop Day Ambassadors, organizer ComicsPRO announced.  Local Comic Shop Day, an event to promote shopping at local comic stores (see "ComicsPRO Unveils"), will be held this year on September 27, 2025.  Oswalt and Blum will be the voice of the campaign promoting the 2025 event; they kicked off their promotion with posts on Instagram (embedded below).

ComicsPRO Vice President Shannon Live commented on the new Ambassadors in a statement accompanying the announcement.  "Having Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum as our ambassadors is such a huge win for the comic industry," she said.  "With fans both in and out of comics, they can bring recognition to our industry, inspiring people to fall in love with the community that comic shops offer."

Oswalt is best known as a stand-up comedian, and has also written comics, including his current collaboration with Blum on Dark Horse Comics title Minor Threats. He has 4.2 million followers on X, and 649,000 on Instagram.

Blum was showrunner for Marvel's M.O.D.O.K., and has written comics including Minor Threats and M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games.
