Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the most anticipated Magic sets of 2025. The new set includes characters from the Spider-Man comics, such as Spider-Man 2099, Mile Morales, Ghost Spider, Peter Parker, and more. There are also an array of villains in this set, including Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, and others. Some of these cards a double-faced Legendary creatures that transform from their secret identity form into their Spidey form, and there are some neat Spider-verse characters like Spider-Punk and Peter Porker.  

The card treatments for the set come in a variety of forms. There are two treatments that are aimed squarely at appealing to comic book fans: Iconic Cover cards and Panel cards. Iconic Cover cards are pretty straightforward; they feature some of the many iconic covers from Spider-Man books and are only available in Collector Boosters. The Panel cards are borderless cards that are drawn out in comic panel form. There are also Web-Slinger and Spidey basic land cards can be found in Play and Collector Boosters.

WotC brings back Scene cards in this set, like they did for Tales of Middle-earth (see "'LotR' Holiday Release"). There's an entire 9-card scene that showcases the artwork of Jim Cheung and Jay David Ramos as well as other borderless traditional foil scene cards. The Scene cards are available in Play Boosters, Scene boxes, and Collector Boosters, but the traditional foil Scene cards are only available in Scene boxes and Collector Boosters.

As for other points of interest for this set, WotC will be hosting two Magic Spotlight events for it, one in Baltimore (October 24-26, 2025) and one in Liverpool, UK (October 31 to November 2, 2025). There will be two Commander Parties for this cycle and a Spider-Man: The Final Battle event that runs from November 1-9, 2025.
