Sponsored.  Over the weekend following Juneteenth, Saturday AM announced a slew of projects designed to highlight their popular diverse list of manga titles, which are published and distributed by Rockport Publishers/The Quarto Group.

Clock Striker Origins: The Rights We Give is a new light novel based on the critically acclaimed steampunk-set manga Clock Striker by American founder of Saturday AM Frederick L. Jones and French/Niger artist Issaka Galadima.  Featuring Cast, a Black teenage tomboy who is a whiz with hardware and uses a high-tech robotic prosthetic hand, the novel provides insights on her mysterious but powerful mentor Ms. Clock.

Also by Frederick L. Jones with art by Frank Simmonds, Fan X Boy is an action-packed revenge title that celebrates otaku culture and highlights neurodivergent characters.

The sequel to Saturday AM Presents How to Draw Diverse Manga, the forthcoming Making Manga: The Saturday AM Way (August 26, 2025) showcases lessons from Saturday AM's top artists from around the world on how to develop original manga titles from start to finish, along with advice from industry professionals with expertise in storytelling, writing, lettering, printing, retail, promotion, and more.

Later this year, fantasy series Apple Black by creator Odunze Oguguo (aka Whyt Manga) will start running reformatted color versions on WEBTOON as part of a long-term partnership between the digital comics giant and Saturday AM.

Sequels are in production for Children's Book Council Favorite Gunhild by creator Fred Tornager (Denmark); Underground by creator JR De Bard (USA), Bronze winner at the 18th Annual Japan International Manga Awards; and Clock Striker, Vol. 3, publishing February 17, 2026, and now available for preorder.

Finally, Saturday AM's characters will appear in both an upcoming trading card game called Saturday AM: Big Three, designed to be fast-paced, affordable, and easy to learn, as well as in Saturday AM: Battle Manga, an upcoming video game produced by fellow Black-owned company Son Studios.
