The licensing stream is still going strong for the Blade Runner franchise. WizKids is releasing Blade Runner 2049: Nexus Protocol, a social deduction game due in January (see “Find the Replicant in 'Blade Runner 2049: Nexus Protocol'”). Alcon also partnered with WizKids parent NECA on a behind the scenes art book for Blade Runner 2049 (see “Behind-the-Scenes Art Book Details 'Blade Runner 2049'”). The NECA partnership also included figures, die cast vehicles, and replicas (see “WizKids Parent NECA Signs 'Blade Runner 2049' License”).

Alcon Media Group and Titan Publishing are partnering on a line of books and comics based in the Blade Runner universe. The companies will develop a fiction and nonfiction print media under the deal. Titan’s David Manley-Leach and Alcon’s Jeff Conner will oversee the editorial process for the joint venture, which includes new in-canon comics and graphic novels and publications focused on the visual and technical aspects of the franchise.
