For the 20th anniversary of the release of the first Matrix film, Burlyman is releasing an oversized hardcover collection of the comics, with all-star talent including Neil Gaiman, Geof Darrow, Dave Gibbons, Bill Sienkiewicz, Peter Bagge, David Lapham, Paul Chadwick, Michael Kaluta, and many more, that were originally published on the official Matrix website around the release of the first film.

The Matrix Comics: 20th Anniversary Edition will collect The Matrix Comics: Volume One and Two, originally published in the early 00s (see The Matrix Comics in Mid October and Matrix Comics Volume 2), along with over 80 pages of never-before-published material, including four stories new to print.

Two covers, the Trinity cover and the Pod cover, are available.  The 400-page volume, which will release November 6, has a MSRP of $39.99.

The full talent list includes the Wachowskis, who directed the original films, and Neil Gaiman, Geof Darrow, Dave Gibbons, Bill Sienkiewicz, Ted McKeever, Greg Ruth, Tim Sale, John Van Fleet, Peter Bagge, David Lapham, Paul Chadwick, Kilian Plunkett, Dave Dorman, Troy Nixey, Keron Grant, Vince Evans, Michael Oeming, Kaare Andrews, Tommy Lee Edwards, Dave McCaig, Jeromy Cox, Chris Chuckry, Ryder Windham, Jim Krueger, Poppy Z. Brite (aka Billy Martin), Spencer Lamm, Jonathan Luna, and Michael Kaluta.

A new Matrix film, directed by Lana Wachowski, is planned (see New Matrix Film Announced).

Burlyman will also release Doc Frankenstein: The Post-Modern Prometheus. The 240-page volume collects Doc Frankenstein #1-6, plus 64 first-time-in-print pages that complete the original story. The oversized deluxe hardcover edition includes an introduction by Lana Wachowski and an original cover painting by Geof Darrow, Steve Skroce, Tino Rodríguez and Virgo Paraiso.
