Disney revealed a new Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker poster during the Saturday panel at D23 Expo.  It depicts Rey and Kylo Ren battling on a piece of debris while the ghostly shadow of Emperor Palpatine lurks in the star field backdrop.  This poster is a follow-up to the end of the first Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker teaser, released at Star Wars Celebration, where the Emperor's signature cackle could be heard in the background (see "'Star Wars Episode IX' Teaser Drops").

Kit Harington will be in the Marvel Studio's film The Eternals, studio head Kevin Feige revealed at D23 Expo.  Harrington joins an all-star cast already featuring Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, and fellow Game of Thrones co-star Richard Madden.  Gemma Chan and Barry Keoghan were also recently added to the film round out the cast.  Harington's role will not be one of the actual ancient Eternal characters -- he will playing Dane Whitman, The Black Knight.  The Eternals is scheduled for release in May 6, 2020 (see "'Eternals'").

Feige also revealed that the release date for Black Panther 2 will be May 6, 2022 (see "Best in Shows – Q2 2022").  Ryan Coogler will return to write and direct (see "Coogler Returns to Wakanda").

Disneyland Resort will be adding an Avengers Campus to Disney California Adventure, and will begin "recruiting" guests in 2020 (see concept art below).  Disney also revealed a brand-new attraction planned for Epcot called Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which will include a roller coaster.  Earlier this year, Disney did a comic tie-in for their Star Wars: Edge of the Galaxy theme park (see "Comic Tie-in for New 'Star Wars' Theme Parks").

James Gunn's Suicide Squad 2 added Nathan Fillion, star of ABC's The Rookie, to its cast according to Deadline.  Although his role has been kept secret, Fillion and Gunn have teamed-up in other movies before such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Slither, and Super. This comes on the heels of the news that John Cena has also joined the cast (see "John Cena Joins 'Suicide Squad 2").

Lana Wachowski will write and direct another film set in the world of The Matrix, Warner Bros. announced.  Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity as the stars of the new film.  This announcement comes as he original The Matrix is re-released into AMC Theatres for a 20th Anniversary Screening (see "'The Matrix' Rereleased'").

Finally, more than a year after Neil Blomkamp was tapped to direct Robocop Returns, he is now "off the film" according to Film.  The film is reportedly still happening, and Blomkamp revealed that it is still in the writing stages (see "'RoboCop Returns'").
