The partnership between these two companies has awarded a total of $275,000 to FLGS across three campaigns (see " $100,000 for Local Game Stores" and also, " Benefit Game Stores"). These campaigns started back in September 2021 with this most recent one occuring in February 2022.
“Our partnership with James and the team at Legend Story Studios is truly unique," said Chedy Hampson, Founder and CEO of TCGplayer. "Together, we’ve developed a series of direct-to-consumer campaigns that keep our local hobby stores at the heart of our community, creating a shining example of how all D2C campaigns should be run. As a result, we’ve awarded $275,000 to retailers to date — advancing our commitment to empowering brick-and-mortar stores and ensuring alignment between publishers and retailers in the process."
The money raised in this go-around came via the TCGplayer Tales of Everfest Collector’s Bundle, which included first-edition, limited edition, and exclusive Flesh and Blood TCG. These products were only available on the TCGplayer Marketplace in connection with the campaign.
