Production Manager DeAna Avila comes to TinyOnion from Z2 Studios, where she had the same title and worked on their graphic novels Miles Davis and the Search for the Sound, Iron Maiden: Piece Of Mind, and Broken Social Scene: You Forgot It In People, among others.
Editor Steve Foxe collaborated with Tynion on the horror anthology Razorblades (see “Image to Collect Tynion and Foxe’s ‘Razorblades’”) and edited his W0RLDTR33, The Deviant, and The Department of Truth; Tiny Onion’s Eric Harburn describes him as “an editor’s editor.” His experience includes five years at the Random House imprint Knopf Books for Young Readers and freelance editorial work for First Second, where his titles include the best-selling InvestiGators spinoff Agents of S.U.I.T. He is the writer of Scholastic’s Spider-Ham series (see “A Guide to Marvel’s Young Reader Comics and Graphic Novels”) and co-writer (with Steve Orlando) of the Eisner-nominated Rainbow Bridge, and he has also written for Spider-Woman, Dark X-Men, X-Men 97 (see “Marvel Plans Comics Tie-in to Disney+ ‘X-Men ’97’”) and Skybound’s Creepshow anthology. Talent Manager Greg Lockard comes to Tiny Onion with over 15 years’ experience. He started at DC in the Talent Relations department and later joined the editorial team of Vertigo. He has been freelancing since 2015, working with Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, Comixology Originals, and DSTLRY, and he is the co-creator of two graphic novels, Trick Pony (with Anna David) and the GLAAD-nominated Liebestrasse (with Tim Fish). Editorial Assistant Antonio Guanaes recently graduated with a master’s in media business management and has a background in computer science as well. He helped develop the mobile app startup Minimap and worked on film and TV projects at the commercial production house Hungry Man. Tynion called him “a swiss army knife who has become indispensable to every department in our small, but growing operation” in a statement accompanying the announcement, adding, “With his roots outside of comics he's brought fresh eyes to what can be a very insular industry, while always helping me keep my eyes trained on the horizon, thinking of everywhere Tiny Onion needs to go next."Tynion launched Tiny Onion in February 2024 with seed funding from independent production company Lyrical Media (see “James Tynion IV Launches Tiny Onion”)
