Two role changes were announced this week for the sales and promotion areas at Mad Cave Studios and Tiny Onion.
Said Nelson, "I am committed to continuing our momentum and exploring new avenues for growth,” while Mark London, CEO and Chief Creative Officer, complimented his “pivotal role in driving Mad Cave Studios’ growth and success.” Independent publisher Mad Cave celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, putting out both creator-owned stories and licensed works.
At Tiny Onion, Harley Salbacka has been hired as Community and Events Manager, part of Jazzlyn Stone’s Communications team. Salbacka was previously at BOOM! Studios (see “BOOM! Studios New Hires”) and Humanoids before that.
Said Stone, Director of Communications, “While working with her at ALA this year, I was struck by how determined, kind, and creator-focused she is. Harley’s ingenuity for events and care for creators is exactly what we want in a Community and Events Manager.” CEO Tynion praised her “incredible relationships with fans, retailers, and librarians all over the country.”
Tiny Onion, a multimedia production company, was formed in February 2024 (see “Tynion Launches Tiny Onion”) to oversee the front- and backlist of James Tynion IV and provide editorial, design, production, and communication support to independent publishers and creators. They are also developing projects for film, TV, and animation.
