The fall season is setting in, and Hollywood news keeps on coming. It's time for round-up!
FX Networks released a teaser for ALIEN: Earth (see below). This series, created by Noah Hawley, stars Sydney Chandler (see "'ALIEN' Series"), Alex Lawther, and Timothy Olyphant. It will be landing on HULU in 2025.
Screen Gems, a Sony label, has optioned Ice Cream Man for development, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ice Cream Man is an acclaimed horror comics anthology by W. Maxwell Prince (see "Ice Cream Man 'Quarantine Comix'"), published by Image Comics, in which the creepy title character ties together a series of macabre tales. Screen Gems has tapped Beetlejuice Beetlejuice writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to adapt the anthology to a screenplay.
Warner Bros. Pictures released a teaser for A Minecraft Movie (see below). The live-action adaptation of the popular video game stars Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Jennifer Coolidge, and Emma Myers. This movie will hit theaters on April 4, 2025 (see "2025").
Amazon MGM Studios added a new member to the cast of their Masters of the Universe movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Community and Glow star Allison Brie will take on the role of Evil-Lyn in the movie. She joins co-star Nicholas Galitzine, who plays He-Man, on this long-delayed movie project (see "'MOTU' Movie Finds a He-Man'").
Max announced the release date for Creature Commandos, according to Variety. This series will premiere on December 5, 2024. Max also recently released a new trailer for the series (see "'Creature Commandos'").
