In 1995, Marvel Comics temporarily replaced its X-Men series with new miniseries set in an alternate universe called the Age of Apocalypse.  Now, 30 years later, they will collect the first issues of four of the original event series into a one-shot, X-Men: Tales from the Age of Apocalypse. The one-shot, priced at $3.99, will include Astonishing X-Men #1, by Scott Lobdell and Joe Madureira; Factor X #1, by John Francis Moore and Steve Epting; Weapon X #1, by Larry Hama and Adam Kubert; and Amazing X-Men #1, by Fabian Nicieza and Andy Kubert. It will go on sale on November 12 with a cover by Paco Medina.

Marvel is also marking the anniversary with two new events, X-Men of Apocalypse, which will launch in September (see “Loeb and Di Meo on ‘Age of Apocalypse’ Event”), and Age of Revelation, which kicked off in July and will continue in October (see “Marvel Takes the X-Men 10 Years into the Future with ‘Age of Revelation’ Event”).
