Vault Comics is joining the compact-editions trend with its own line, Vantage, that will package complete series or multiple story arcs into paperbacks with a 5.5” x 8.5” trim size, comparable to DC’s Compact Comics, and an MSRP of $14.99.

The Vantage line will launch in December 2025 with three titles that will be released to the direct market before the book channel: 

Money Shot: Compact Book 1, collecting the first 10 issues of the mature-rated series by writers Tim Seeley and Sarah Beattie and artist Rebekah Isaacs about a team of space scientists who fund their research with a porn site depicting their alien conquests (see “Vault Plans ‘Money Shot’ Collection, Second Arc”).

These Savage Shores: Compact will collect the entire series by Ram V and Sumit Kumar, a horror story set in 1766 about a vampire who sails to India on an East India Company ship, hoping to find a new home but instead sparking a conflict with the ancient evils who dwell there.

Witchblood: The Hounds of Love, Compact includes issues #1-10 of Matthew Erman and Lisa Sterle’s Wild West tale of a witch and her coven on the run from a gang of biker vampires who are after their blood. 

Compact graphic novels, first introduced by DC last year, are proving to be solid sellers for Marvel and DC (see “July 2025 Circana BookScan”).
