Vault Comics is building on the success of its sexy science fiction comic series Money Shot by scheduling the first trade paperback collection and extending the series for a second story arc, the company announced.  The first issue of the series, written by Tim Seeley and comedian Sarah Beattie, with art by Rebekah Isaacs, colors by Kurt Michael Russell, and letters by Crank!, sold out quickly, and with a reprint and “Black Bag” variant editions sold nearly 20,000 copies from Diamond U.S. alone, according to ICv2’s Top 500 charts (see “Top 500 Comics – November” and “Top 500 Comics – October”).

The storyline features a group of future underfunded scientists who use a porn website showing their alien sex conquests to fund their research into the depths of the universe.

The graphic novel, with 160 pages at $17.99, will be released in March.
