Onslaught Due in October

Wizards of the Coast has released the logo and the first description of Onslaught , the next expansion for Magic: The Gathering . Onslaught is slated to go on sale in October, and the cards will be available in a number of different formats.

Wizards of the Coast announced today that the company will take its franchise collectible card game, Magic The Gathering online. WOTC is hoping that Magic can cast its spell online, and will be able to compete with popular online games like Everquest , which have become huge cash cows --but some retailers are worried about the effect the online game will have on in-store sales.
