New York Comic Con News: OK, it is now clear that the major theme of the NYCC so far is continuing expansion of comic book crossovers, so it should come as no surprise that IDW Publishing has hit upon the idea of the "permanent crossover" with a new ongoing Transformers/G.I. Joe series that is slated to debut next summer. With the plethora of characters in both the Transformers and G.I. Joe comic book universes, this series is much more of a crossover than just a "team-up."
Tom Scioli (Godland, American Barbarian) will be drawing the new series and co-writing it with John Barber (Transformers: Robots in Disguise).
