Rik Deskin of Rain City Comics in Woodinville, Washington saw the report on the options Diamond is considering for its summits next year (see 'Diamond Looking at '05 Summit Options') and feels that Seattle should be thrown into the mix:

Hmmm, interesting.  I have to wonder why Seattle is not being considered by Diamond for an upcoming summit?  We have the capability to host an event as well as any of the other named cities.  We also have the largest and longest film festival yearly: the Seattle International Film Festival; the theatre community will be hosting next year's Theatre Communications Group Biennial Conference; we are the headquarters of Microsoft and Starbucks; we have beautiful scenery.  We have more comic book stores, bookstores, theatre companies and cinema screens per capita then other cities of similar sizes.  We also have a growing annual convention in the Emerald City Comic-Con.  Why not Seattle?
