WizKids Inc. has announced a partnership with the Digital Animation & Video Effects School to produce a student-made MechWarrior short film. The school is located on the lot at Universal Studios Orlando and the short will be produced under the direction of Lee Stringer, who is an Emmy-winning visual effects supervisor with credits on Star Trek, Firefly and Battlestar Galactica. The as-yet-unnamed film will release this summer, and will be screened at Origins 2006 in Columbus, Ohio and at GenCon 2006 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
