Privateer Press has announced that it will produce a kaiju-inspired CMG, Monsterpocalypse, in 2008. The new game, Privateer's first entry into the CMG market, will be designed by Matt Wilson, who also designed Privateer's successful Non-Collectable Miniature Games, Warmachine and Hordes.
The storyline of the game will be a tribute to Japanese monster movies (kaiju). The first set will include over 80 figures, with large-scale monsters, destroyable city structures, and vehicles. Figures will be sold in the traditional starters/boosters configuration. Special figures will be distributed at events.
