Wasting no time after the season finale (see “Dollhouse Ends on a Low Point”), Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced today that the Blu-ray and DVD collections of Dollhouse Season I will street July 28th. The show, despite declining ratings, is “still alive,” according to Hollywood Reporter, “with the final decision hinging on the low-rated series’ economics.”
The Blu-ray (three discs for $69.99) and DVD (four discs for $49.98) sets will both include significant extras in addition to the twelve episodes that aired on TV, including the never-before-seen standalone episode “Epitaph One,” the original unaired pilot “Echo,” deleted scenes and seven making-of featurettes. Two episodes, “Ghost” and “Man on the Street,” include commentary by Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon.
