Top Cow has announced that the first issue of its Battle of the Planets comic series has sold out at the distributor level immediately after its release on July 10. This follows other retro hits Transformers and G.I. Joe in selling out its initial release quickly, and despite a significant overprint. Top Cow is currently evaluating whether to go back to press, or just to rush out a trade collection of the first three issues earlier than planned.
