Smallville showrunners and executive producers Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, along with series co-producer Tollin-Robbins Productions, have sued Warner Bros., alleging breach of contract.  Among the allegations are the charge that the show was licensed to Warners sister companies WB and CW for fees that were too low because of the corporate relationship, and that revenues from foreign licenses were unfairly allocated between Smallville and other shows sold in multi-show bundles.  The suit charges that the result of those actions were lower revenues for Smallville, which reduced payments due to the show’s producers.

Gough and Millar left the show after its seventh season (see “Gough & Millar Leaving Smallville”); the show was recently renewed for its 10th season (see “Smallville Renewed”).
