Following up its pilot order (see “Walking Dead Pilot Ordered”), AMC has ordered a six episode season of one-hour episodes of The Walking Dead, based on the comic by Robert Kirkman. The new series starts shooting in June and will premiere in October. Jon Bernthal has been cast as Shane.
