Comic-Con News—At Comic Con IDW Publishing continued its raft of announcements with the news that starting in 2012 IDW will publish several comic series in the universe of James O’Barr’s The Crow including comic book adaptations of the new Crow movie that is in production.  IDW also announced a deal with King Features Syndicate to bring Elzie Segar’s Popeye back to comics, as well as an oversize hardcover collection of 144 pages of John Romita Senior’s classic Amazing Spider-Man art.
All the pages in the John Romita’s The Amazing Spider-Man: Artist’s Edition will be scanned from the original art for the best possible reproduction.  While the art is not colored, IDW is scanning it in color to mimic the experience of viewing the original art with its white-out corrections and blue pencil notations.
