Summit Entertainment announced premiere dates for two films with graphic novel connections: Red 2 and Ender’s Game. Red 2 will premiere August 2nd, 2013; and Ender’s Game will premiere on March 15th, 2013.
Red, based on the DC graphic novel by Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer, had a great run of almost $200 million worldwide, and the sequel went into development early this year (see “Red Sequel in the Works”). Ender’s Game, based on the Orson Scott Card science fiction novel (see “Summit Makes Play for ‘Ender’s Game’”), has been the basis for Marvel comics, with five graphic novels available to date.
