Comic-Con News: AMC has released a substantial nearly four-and-one-minute trailer for Season 4 of The Walking Dead, the most popular drama series on cable television. Although it was shamefully ignored during the recent Emmy nominations, the AMC series, which is based on Robert Kirkman’s Image Comic, remains a ratings juggernaut and this trailer certainly should whet the appetite of the show’s legions of fans with its glimpses of some of the serious problems that face the intrepid band of survivors of the zombie apocalypse in the upcoming season. The mega-popular zombie epic will kick off its Fourth Season on Sunday, October 13th, 2013.
Perhaps the most troubling aspect of the trailer are the scenes of conflict within the prison, which during season 3 had become the refuge for Rick Grimes and the rest of survivors. The trailer shows most of the cast involved in heavy action including newcomer Bob Stookey, whose presence in Season 4 was just revealed this week (see "'EW' Reveals New Season 4 Character & 3 Covers").
