Viz Media is planning paired anime and manga releases for Tiger & Bunny The Movie: The Beginning in October. The film, which received a theatrical release in Japan last September, is the first of two planned Tiger & Bunny features.
Tiger & Bunny The Movie: The Beginning will release on DVD and Blu-ray on October 1st with a TV-14 rating and MSRPs of $19.99 and $24.98.
Then on October 8, Viz will release the two volume print-only manga adaptation, Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning Side A and Side B, rated T for Teens at $9.99 each.
The first expression of the Tiger & Bunny property to launch in North America was the streaming anime series, followed by the first manga releases last fall (see "A Look Ahead at Viz Releases," and "Review: 'Tiger & Bunny' Vol. 1 TP"). Viz also released an anthology of short stories based on the property (see "Review: 'Tiger & Bunny Comic Anthology' Vol. 1").
