The first trailer for Brian Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past has released, presenting a rather dramatic mood, different from the expected slam-bang action most comic trailers go for these days, and what was shown in the teaser footage Brian Singer posted last week (see "First 'X-Men: DOFP' Footage").
The 2:18 minute trailer gives a good overview of the time-traveling plot, presenting a glimpse at the ominous future with Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto tasking Wolverine to travel back to the past and convince their younger selves (played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender reprising from X-men: First Class) to help alter the events that led to the dystopian war-torn future.
Fans will also get a look at some new characters joining the fray at :38: Bishop (Omar Sy), Sunspot (Adan Canto ), Warpath (Booboo Stewart), and Blink (Bingbing Fan) all flash by in quick succession. There are shots of Storm, Beast, and of course, Mystique (though she looks slightly less sad here "New 'X-Men: DOFP' Stills").
It is going to be a long wait till May 22, 2014.
Moody but Exciting
